Rhinos CAN swim! Swimming at Arusha Campus

Dear Parents,

UWCEA is fortunate to have a swimming pool where we offer swim lessons during PE sessions for PYP & MYP students, as well as swim coaching outside of school hours.

Our swim coach, Kevin, and some parents are establishing a UWCEA Rhinos Swim Club. The club is for students who are interested in competitive swimming at a local and national level and will be officially registered with Tanzania Swimming Association (fees involved).

It will require students to commit to at least 3 training sessions in the pool per week. There are training sessions Monday – Thursday 6.30am – 7.30am, plus after school sessions as listed in the CCA timetable, with the likely addition of a Friday training from 2-4pm. You can choose which sessions suit best for your schedule and with other CCAs.

Students who are not in the Swim Club will still be able compete in the House swimming and NTAA swimming galas.

We would love to meet with any parents interested in their children joining the Swim Club to answer any questions and see how we can each contribute to the team. We hope to create a fun and energetic club.

Please join us at the pool on Monday August 22nd at 2.30pm.

If you are interested in the Swim Club but are unable to attend the meeting on Monday please contact Carolynn Fischer: carolynnf95@gmail.com

In addition, we always welcome community members to our pool please see the schedule below.

Thanks,
Swim Club
