Welcome back to everyone for the school year 2024/25! Lots of new faces on the student and teacher front and we look forward to getting to know you in the coming weeks. We know that starting a new school can be jolly frightening and so our job is to make our new colleagues feel at home and part of our family from the first day. So if you are coming in as a new person tomorrow please don’t be afraid to ask anyone for help!
Our Diploma Orientation Team have been hard at work this week helping our Diploma students from all around the world settle in to life in the bomas. As you can see from the images above and right and below, we have been playing outdoor games as a way of getting to know one another.
We have two meet and greet events coming up – on Friday this week at 7.45am we will arrange to serve coffee on the lawn outside Main Reception and that will be a chance to catch up with old friends, make new ones or to meet the PTA Committee members.
Then, on Wednesday 21st August, at 3pm Secondary parents will have a chance to meet their sudents’ mentor and class teachers over a cup of tea on the lawn outside the Hub Office.
This is a short welcome newsletter for this week, we will have a more voluminous editon next weekend which will report on the events of the week.
